Summary: INELIGIBLE TO ACQUIRE FEDERAL ONSHORE OIL AND GAS LEASE UNDER THE MINERAL LEASING ACT (30 USC 181 ET SEQ.). Pursuant to section 17(g) of the Mineral Leasing Act (30 USC 226(g)), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is prohibited from issuing an oil and gas lease, or approving an assignment or transfer of a lease, to an entity that has failed or refused to comply in any material respect with the reclamation requirements and other standards established under that section. Prior to making such a determination, the BLM must provide the entity with adequate notification and an opportunity to comply. This entity is in noncompliance with section 17(g) and has been afforded the requisite notice and opportunity to comply. THIS EXCLUSION APPLIES ONLY TO FEDERAL ONSHORE OIL AND GAS LEASES ISSUED BY THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR.
